Hessney Auction Co. has been the Finger Lakes’ full-time professional auction house since 1981. We catalog it, market it, and sell it online to thousands of registered bidders nationwide and internationally.

How It Works
Call Ahead, Then Bring It In
We accept consignments most Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM. A quick call confirms we’re currently taking items and that a staff member is ready for you.
We Write Up Your Receipt
Every item is logged on the spot. You leave with a detailed receipt for your records.
Cataloging, Photography & Marketing
We inventory, catalog, and photograph your items, then place them in the right sale and market them through nationwide advertising and online bidding to thousands of registered buyers.
Auction Day
Your items sell nationwide and internationally to our extensive online bidding audience.
Get Paid
Checks are mailed 10 business days after the auction with an itemized settlement statement.
Consignment Hours
Wednesdays & Fridays · 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
We accept consignments on most Wednesdays and Fridays. Please call ahead before bringing consignments, to confirm we’re accepting items and a staff member is available.
Summer schedule: Closed Saturdays in summer. We remain open the Saturday following a Sportsman Auction and can be available by appointment.
Important Notes
- !We do not accept consignments during the week following a Sportsman Auction.
- !We do not accept consignments on the date of a Sportsman Auction.
- !Holidays and special events may affect our schedule.
- !Large collections, estates, firearms collections, and specialty consignments: please make an appointment ahead of time.
